About Us

As founding principal of Opal Sea Capital, Jim has been a real estate investor since 2006, focusing on building wealth and passive income through value-add deals including multiple-property packages that are bought, repositioned, and sold as a portfolio. He has a passion for helping people achieve freedoms in time, money, and location through real estate investing. He co-owns 702 units valued at $68M.

 

A licensed realtor, Jim has experience as a commercial mortgage broker with a New York City hedge fund focused on distressed-asset lending from $3M to $50M. He’s underwritten hundreds of potential deals including multifamily, office, retail, triple-net, hotels, and an airport.

Jim comes from a diverse career over 30 years in business working with and for some of the world’s greatest brands, including HP, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Hallmark, and Amoco. He’s developed expertise in large-scale strategic planning, marketing, financial analysis, and international business.

 

He has particular expertise in technology, IT Services, and financial services by working with clients such as State Street Global Advisors, US Bank, Accenture, Intel, Dell Technologies, ServiceNow, Genpact, Wipro, EY, SS&C, and emerging fintech companies such as C2FO.

Jim Genis

Principal, Opal Sea Capital

He understands the challenges of working in the tech services industry, including intense time pressures and little time to do what people want to do outside of work. This includes learning about and investing in real estate, one the greatest wealth builders in history.

 

Jim holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Jim lives in the Kansas City area and covers investments across the U.S.

Ellis Hammond served six years as a Christian pastor before deciding to focus his efforts on serving real estate investors. Through his vision and leadership, Ellis has led Symphony Capital Group through the acquisition of more than $150M of commercial real estate since 2021.

Bethany Finch

Bethany Finch is founder of American Made Home Solutions, a real estate investment solutions company focusing on Multifamily Syndications, Executive Rentals, Build-to-Rent, and Single Family Renovations from the ground up to 5,000 doors AUM, all via renovations or new construction.

She has been an entrepreneur for over 25 years, building multiple businesses in a variety of pursuits in support of communities through finance, tenant empowerment, and relationships with local 501c3 and church organizations. Bethany's passion for education will often find her speaking around the country and on podcasts to help others build sustainable wealth.

Jeremy Cisneros

Jeremy Cisneros is Director of Acquisitions for Symphony Capital Group and is an experienced franchisee owner/operator across several industries, including McDonald’s. Previously, as an analyst for a nationwide CRE lender, he originated and closed $450MM+ in  bridge loans, while simultaneously  managing a portfolio of $250MM. His methodical approach to financial modeling allows for conservative forecasting of proformas, net operating income, and investor returns for multifamily projects. Jeremy is a graduate of Northeastern University’s D’Amore McKim School of Business.

Bronson Hill

As the Managing Member of Bronson Equity, Bronson is a general partner in 2000 multifamily units worth over $200M. Bronson co-leads a large in person multifamily meetup in Pasadena, CA called FIBI Pasadena Multifamily. Bronson is the host of The Mailbox Money Show and he understands the investor mindset, having spoken individually over the phone with over 1500 investors and having raised over $35M for real estate and his ATM Machine Fund deals. Bronson is the author How to Use Inflation to Your Advantage and is a regular contributor to YouTube and his blog. Bronson is the Capital Raising Coach at Kingdom REI, a faith based group, helping investors find deals and raise funds for large real estate deals.
